BTW, my son just hit me over the head with the wisdom of youth. A brand new Toys R Us just opened a few miles from our house, but that meant the one we've shopped at for years had to close. So John asked if I knew the Toys R Us near the mall had closed. I said yes, and explained it closed because a new one just opened. He said, "Yeah, but that's not MY Toys R Us."
We parents tend to train kids to shop at particular stores because we shop there. The retailers who make them feel welcome are really growing future customers. Think about that before you hang a sign that reads, "Unattended children will be given an espresso and a free puppy."
