We've just returned from the 2008 CHA Winter Show in Anaheim, California. Believe us when we say, it was hard to leave the 70+ degree California sunshine for Chicago's never-ending supply of snow! This winter snow is in abundance -- the piles in front of our office are at least 8' high. And it's supposed to snow again on Sunday ...Back to CHA. That's the two of us with our friend Terri Gordon, president of StoneCreek Creations. You might remember Terri from her adventures with George at QVC. Also pictured is 4 1/2 year old Kenzie Leigh, StoneCreek's spokes-kid. Kenzie Leigh's slogan, "My Mom likes her tush on a Komfy Kush" was the hit of the show. So were the hundreds of retailers walking around with pigtail head bands like the one Rich is sporting here:
We did two brand new presentations at CHA: "Marketing to the Next Generation of Scrapbookers: Millennials and Indie-Crafters" and "The Other 88%: Creating New Scrapbookers". If you missed our presentations, and are a member of CHA, you will be able to watch them later this month on CHA's website http://www.chashow.org
We leave Tuesday morning for -- wait for it -- yep, Las Vegas. We're speaking at the National Shoe Retailer Association's Lifestyle Retailing Conference on Wednesday, and the Vacuum Dealers Trade Association / Sewing Dealers Trade Association Convention on Thursday. Then we hit the road to present on Saturday at the Denver Jewelry, Gift & Resort Show. Stop and see us if you're in either town.
We'll do updates from the road. Have a wonderful weekend!
