A blast from the past



We received an e-mail the other day; one that had been forwarded at least 18,000 times before it got to us. We know this because we had to click through 10 forwards before we got to the actual e-mail. But it was worth it -- we can't remember the last time we laughed this hard.

The e-mail featured highlights from the 1977 J.C. Penney catalog. We were already full fledged retailers by then. Rich was running a department store chain, probably wearing pastel leisure suits with shiny polyester shirts. Georganne was a highly fashionable assistant buyer in 6" platforms. Suffice to say, we probably looked a lot like the people in these scary catalog pictures. After seeing these photos, George's daughter no longer wishes George had kept her old wardrobe.
