Loyalty cards = big bucks

There's an article in the April 30th edition of the Seattle Times Intelligencer entitled, "Big spenders get Nordstrom perks" that discusses how Nordstrom is rolling out the red carpet for its biggest credit card spenders.

The article is about Nordstrom's new "Fashion Rewards" program that offers additional rewards to their most loyal customers -- those who spend more than $20,000 annually.

Kevin Knight, president of Nordstrom Credit is quoted as saying, "The customers in our rewards program already spend 30 percent more than those not in rewards. "This should improve on that figure."

Wait. What did he say? Customers in the rewards program spend 30 percent more than those not in the rewards program.

If you're still thinking about a rewards program for your store, it's time to stop thinking and time to start implementing. Don't you think?
