So, what's happening in your store to celebrate Valentine's Day? Lots of candy and flowers? Perhaps a special event or two?
According to Alana Campana, Valentine's Day program manager at Cleveland-based American Greetings, Valentine's Day is "an unmet market."
Its got big buck potential, too: For card makers Valentine's Day is the second-biggest holiday behind Christmas. 190 million valentines are sent (85% are purchased by women), and, according to Campana, this figure does not include classroom exchanges.
You'd think all this love would make us happy, but you'd be wrong. Along with all the Valentine's Day love there is an anti-Valentine's Day sentiment growing.
