We hit the streets at 5:00 AM on Black Friday morning. The lines were as long as last year, but things seemed calmer. Many retailers had more of each door buster item than in previous years, so more shoppers were able to take advantage of great deals. Not all stores, though. There were still $299.99 computer fiasco's, with people lining up at midnight waiting for the store to open, only to find three available. Ouch! The good news is that many retailers learned a valuable lesson about what happens when you cheese off customers -- this made for more plentiful deals.
